Safety on your paragliding flight

Paragliding is a relaxed experience when it's done with method. Every flight from this site follows our association's safety system, and all our pilots are certified instructors with the international IPPI 5 rating.

Our association's safety system

  • Qualified instructorsEvery instructor is trained in first aid, and the whole team, including the crew handling transport, the ramp and the landing area, takes part in an ongoing training program.
  • Operational auditExperienced professionals continuously oversee the routine at the take-off ramp and the landing area, to keep the same standard of care every day.
  • Maintenance controlWings, harnesses and reserve parachutes go through mandatory servicing based on number of flights and time in use, whichever comes first.
  • Pre-flight checklistBefore take-off, the pilot checks every connection to the equipment and the reserve parachute with you, supervised by a ramp inspector. It's a routine refined over the years and reinforced by the association.
  • We only fly in suitable weatherThe technical board monitors the weather stations at take-off, at landing and in nearby areas. If conditions aren't safe, we don't fly, even when the numbers are within limits, and your flight is rescheduled at no cost.

Safety questions

Is tandem paragliding safe?

On a tandem flight you fly with an experienced instructor who handles the take-off, the flight and the landing. On our team every pilot holds the FAI's IPPI 5 rating, the equipment goes through mandatory servicing, and we only fly when the weather is right. As with any outdoor activity, the risk is never zero, which is why we take every step seriously.

Do I need experience or to be fit?

No. The pilot explains everything before take-off. At take-off you just run a few steps following their instructions.

What if the weather changes?

The technical board monitors the weather stations at the ramp, at landing and in the area. If conditions aren't suitable, the flight doesn't happen and is rescheduled at no cost.

Is there a reserve parachute?

Yes. Every flight carries a reserve parachute, and the pilot checks its deployment system with you on the checklist before every take-off, supervised by the ramp inspector.
